An Open Letter to Dylan Ratigan

August 30th, 2010

Dear Mr. Ratigan:

On your show on Friday 2010 AUG 27, you asked where all the sixties style protests were from this generation.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

I think you came close to the answer when you suggested that today the people believe the system is so rigged by big powerful interests that protesting is futile.

We are past the stage where the American people buy the fairy tale that writing a corrupt congressman will make a positive difference.

But, the people are organizing, they have just learned from Kent State, Tienammen Square, Seattle, and Pittsburgh to adjust their techniques.

We saw with the Ron Paul '08 campaign how a disparate partially-underground internet movement became a powerful grassroots public political presence almost overnight.

That's the new political reality. Politics at the speed of thought.

And, there's another political reality that Cass Sunstein has publicly articulated in his policy paper 'Conspiracy Theories'. That reality is that the government is currently attempting to "cognitively infiltrate" peaceful activist groups. When G. Gordon Liddy and Hoover's "men" were spying on John Lennon, Martin Luther King Jr., and Bobby Kennedy - it was secret.

Now, those conspiracy theories from the sixties have been officially admitted and the Kenyan President's unconstitutional Information Czar has made the argument in perfect B level NewSpeak that it should be the current official policy of the federal government to target and infiltrate peaceful activist groups.

This kind of East German Stasi technique scares most people from getting involved in any public group, so a lack of sit-ins consciousness raising concerts and such is not necessarily indicative of a lack of political activism in this generation. It is indicative of the changing tactics of the American cultural and political wars.

The counter-culture of the internet generation frankly believes that every word uttered on the Establishment Media Networks' magazine news shows like yours, O'reiley's, Beck's, and Olberman's is part of the Pravda-like propaganda effort of - as you say - the six industries that run the world.

This new counterculture has seen Waco Rules of Engagement, it has seen Cover Up in Oklahoma City, it has seen Loose Change, Blueprint for Truth, and Willie Rodriguez's heroic story. This counter-culture knows the Federal Reserve is an evil unconstitutional malignancy, eating out the sustenance of our nation. It knows we don't have any jobs because we don't make anything in America anymore because our factories have been shipped over seas, where they pollute more and where the workers experience slave labor conditions. It knows our family farms are being bought up by large multi-national agribusiness conglomerates, and that for the first time in our country's proud history, we need to import foreign food for survival.

And, it knows more government is not the answer.

It knows the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are unnecessary, undeclared, and inconsistent with a decent respect for the opinions of mankind. It knows police states do not protect freedom or safety.

In short, Mr. Ratigan, the modern counter cultre movement you discussed on your show is looking for leadership. Some are so desperate for leadership on television that they chant 912 while watching Glenn Beck. But, the majority are still looking for someone who is more concerned with the search for truth than with being a highly paid performance artist on one of the big 24 hour news networks.

It is with that in mind that I write you this letter Mr. Ratigan. As a commmentator on a 24 hour cable news network, your opinions have a disproportionately large effect within the arena of ideas simply because so many people see your show.

You could go a long ways towards dispelling the modern counter-culture belief that anyone of any significance in the Mainstream Media is controlled by "them" by answering the questions below - or better yet, devoting a segment to each of them.

I have decided to keep the list of questions quite short because I know you are quite busy preparing a national news commentary program about the important issues of the day.

#1. Do you agree that Cass Sunstein's position as Inforamtion Czar is unconstitutional and that "cognitive infiltration" of peaceful political groups is unAmerican and treasonous. And, would you do a segment on Sunstein's White House policy paper "Conspiracy Theories"??

#2. Do you believe the Federal Reserve should be replaced with a constitutional money like gold and silver? And, will you do a segment detailing the creation of the Federal Reserve at Jekyll Island??

#3. Do you think insurance fraud criminal Larry Silverstein should get away with blaming the NYFD for bringing down WTC 7 on 9/11?

And, will you please do a segment on the mysterious collapse of Building 7?

#4. Do you think the reason no Republican or Democrat in Congress will talk about capturing chief 9/11 financier Mahmoud Ahmed of Pakistan's so-called ISI is becasue Porter Goss and Bob Graham, the ranking Republican and Democrat on the House Intelligence Services Committee were having breakfast with the bagman of 9/11 on the very morning of the attacks in our nation's capitol? And, would you do a segment on where in the world is Mahmoud Ahmed?

#5. Do you believe the magic bullet theory? And, would you do a piece on it.

Note: this final question was added for its relevance to the connection the modern counter-culture movement has to that of the sixties and not because OurLiar Specter or his other co-conspirators from Project Zapata have any particular relevance today.

Thank you Mr. Ratigan for your attention to these issues. Since, I'm certain a show of yours consisting of five segments from these five questions would be your most viewed to date, I'm sure your producers won't mind you covering these topics. If, however, important breaking news about, for instance, how Ben Bernanke wants to inflate the currency again to solve our hyperinflation problem prevents you from covering all of these issues in a single show, please do cover them over the next month or so for the sake of your audience and our nation.

Thanks again for trying to help dispel the widespread belief that the Establishment Media is simply a complicated propaganda syndicate designed, by those six industries you mentioned, to keep us fighting amongst each other instead of focused on the common issues uniting We the People against the interests of those who hate our freedom.

In Liberty, with Eternal Vigilance,
